ICAR Coalition Letter to President Obama on Implementation of the UN Guiding Principles
On July 24, 2013, the International Corporate Accountability Roundtable and a select group of our coalition members released a letter to President Barack Obama and other senior U.S. officials calling for the development of a government-wide strategy for implementation of business and human rights priorities, including the U.N. Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights. The letter also called on the President, in considering candidates for critical leadership roles in the U.S. Government, to give priority to candidates with a demonstrated commitment to advancing and implementing protection of human rights in business operations.
