ICAR First Annual Meeting

International Corporate Accountability Roundtable Meeting - Washington DC
September 8th, 2011 - September 9th, 2011

On September 8th and 9th, 2011, the International Corporate Accountability Roundtable (“ICAR”) hosted closed meetings to discuss the current state of corporate accountability in the domestic and international arenas. The meetings were held in partnership with the Georgetown University Law Center’s Human Rights Institute. Over 50 leaders from various NGOs around the world coalesced for the event, exploring corporate accountability from a litigation perspective, a frameworks and policy perspective as well as held intensive strategic sessions to lay out the agenda for coordinated corporate accountability work going forward. The two-day event set the stage for a united movement on these issues amongst leading civil society organizations from across the globe.
