ICAR Submissions to the UN Working Group on Substantive Elements of National Action Plans (NAPs)

On 1 September 2014, the International Corporate Accountability (ICAR) presented two submissions to the UN Working Group on Business and Human Rights as part of its open public consultation on Practical and Substantive Considerations in the Development and Enactment of a National Action Plan to Implement the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.

The first is a general submission from ICAR and the Danish Institute for Human Rights (DIHR), with the support of the Corporate Responsibility Coalition (CORE), the Centre for Research on Multinational Corporations (SOMO), and the European Coalition for Corporate Justice (ECCJ). The second is a submission specific to the issue of access to judicial remedy, jointly submitted by ICAR, CORE, and ECCJ. This submission can be downloaded here or viewed below.

Both submissions are informed by and draw from the joint ICAR-DIHR report, National Action Plans on Business and Human Rights: A Toolkit for the Development, Implementation, and Review of State Commitments to Business and Human Rights Frameworks.
