International Corporate Accountability Roundtable Meeting - Washington DC

On September 6th and 7th, 2012, the International Corporate Accountability Roundtable (“ICAR”) hosted closed meetings to discuss the current state of corporate accountability in the domestic and international arenas. The meetings were held in partnership with the Georgetown University Law Center’s Human Rights Institute. Over 60 leaders from civil society, labor unions and academia came together for the event, exploring corporate accountability from a litigation perspective, a frameworks and policy perspective as well as held intensive strategic sessions to lay out the agenda for coordinated corporate accountability work going forward. The two-day event set the stage for a united movement on these issues amongst leading civil society organizations from across the globe.
